Galaxy RP Mod

This project is a fork of Zyk Mod, which is itself a fork of OpenJK. The aim is to improve on the work Zyk has done and move the project into a different direction: Player Roleplaying as opposed to an "RPG" game. This mod will be geared towards the RP community mainly. It will have features to prevent common occurences such as "spec-hiding", "Mary-sues" and more! It will also contain features that help player immersion.

Features

The mod contains these following main features:

  • An account system
  • Custom Force powers
  • Complete rebalance between gunslingers and Force users
  • An item shop
  • A completely revamped chat system, which makes writing much easier, and declutters the server
  • Different distances at which chat can be seen, depending on 22 chat modifiers
  • A news system that admins can use to let people know of major happenings in the galaxy
  • An inventory system for custom items
  • A description system that allows players to see your description
  • A dice system
  • A level system, and skill points system
  • An admin system with admin commands. These can be given one by one to each account
  • Acount settings, which the player can configure to turn on or off some features
  • A Racing Mode, with prize for the winner
  • A Duel Tournament system, with prize for the winner
  • Credits, which can be used to buy and sell stuff while roleplaying
  • A skill counter
  • An ally system, which allows a player to add or remove allies
  • An emote system, together with 57 worded emotes, with a further 3000 accessible by id
  • Players can call vote to single player maps.
  • Siege voice chat in FFA gametype
  • An entity system, which allows players to add, edit, list and remove entities that are in the map
  • Commands to remap shaders in a map
  • A client-side plugin with menus
  • Many cvars at server.cfg to customize mod features
  • And more...

Building

The mod actually requires the only game-code files from the build project: jampgamex86, cgamex86 and uix86. MP Engine files and SP files have been disabled for builds. You can follow the OpenJK guides for build process:
