Sorry about this - but this fails on the Mac backend with lots of 'AttributeError: 'FigureCanvasMac' object has no attribute 'restore_region'" - do you think it could be made to work on said backend? |

That looks like a matplotlib bug. The example uses only techniques straight
from the matplotlib documentation.

Yeah - can happen :)
I will see if I can get all the mac users onto compatible tcl / tk for the
class.
