I am approving, but at the end we need a complete refactoring for distributions support, like what I am trying to do in #860.
For example, in RHEL 10, we are not relying on Network Manager yet, and we are still going though a bunch of compatibily layers that might go away someday.
We need a real modernization of distributions support.
