Generating HTML with the Pandoc Plugin in Janeway
These steps are applicable when an article is in the Typesetting Stage.
Janeway includes a Pandoc plugin that allows you to convert prepared Word documents into HTML or PDF. Follow these steps to prepare and process your manuscript.
Before uploading, ensure your Word document contains only the body of the article.
Remove any cover sheets or additional front matter.
From the article’s Actions menu, click Document Management.
Click Upload File and choose Manuscript File as the file type.
Browse for your prepared Word document and upload it.
Your uploaded file will appear in the list of Files for Typesetting.
Locate your newly uploaded manuscript and click the Options link.
In the Generate typeset file dialog, scroll to the Pandoc (Plugin) section.
Click Generate HTML to produce the web-ready version of your manuscript.#
✅ That’s it! Your file will now be converted into HTML (or optionally, a stamped/unstamped PDF) using Pandoc.
