Malicious IP Banlist
This repository contains a maintained list of malicious or abusive IP addresses. The list is stored in a single file: banned_ips.txt.
📂 Files
banned_ips.txt — one IP address per line. Example:
203.0.113.45
198.51.100.22
2001:db8::1
📌 Format & Rules
Each line must contain exactly one IPv4 or IPv6 address.
Blank lines and lines beginning with # are ignored.
CIDR blocks are not supported here — only individual IPs.
🔄 Update Policy
The list is updated regularly (daily or as needed).
Updates may include:
Adding new malicious IPs
Removing IPs if they are no longer considered harmful
Deduplication and cleanup
🔗 Usage
Consumers can fetch the latest banlist directly from the raw file URL:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nether07/banlist/main/banned_ips.txt
It is recommended to cache the file locally (e.g., 5–15 minutes) instead of hitting GitHub on every request.
This list is provided as-is, with no guarantees.
It may include false positives.
Use responsibly to avoid blocking legitimate users.
Each entry represents an IP flagged for suspicious, abusive, or malicious behavior at the time of inclusion.
