InfoSec Activities and Resource Dump

A personal and ongoing collection of a variety of cybersecurity-related resources and tools (free and paid), including CTF and Challenge activities, resources for learning and studying, research, websites, blogs, repos, and anything else I find interesting.

This repo serves to centralize my collection of CTF and challenge activities, learning resources, tools, services, projects, etc., in a variety of categories. I hope to use this repo as a kitchen-sink for resources at all levels. As I work out the organization I will continue to collect and add things here.

CTF and Challenges

NCL Fall 2025

This year I had the opportunity to participate in the NCL team competition as part of SANS Team 772. While it was clear that my team mates had an advantage over me (never competing in a team CTF), I felt at home, and everyone was encouraging, kind and at the same time, professional and eager to compete. I guess the way to say it is, it was collegial, casual and open, yet our team captain presented a more professional, and structured process, emphasiszing the importance of accuracy. Team communication was excellent and natural, and it was an overall amazing experience. I hope to work with some of these folks in the future.

Overall, the NCL goal is to prepare students for a real-life cybersecurity career, presenting challenges that may be new to many, and processes that may need to be worked out in the heat of the competition. I appreciated being presented with problems I've never encountered or been trained to solve, yet in some cases instinct kicked in, and I was able to progress through a challenge. Every person has a unique skill set, some are more broad, some more focused. Its absolutely impossible to learn everything, but competing in a 'high-stakes' team enviornment is crucial. It gives the real-world experience of not wanting to let your team down, at the same time, encourages humility and asking your team for help. Overall, this was a great experience and I couldn't have asked for a better group.

Please see the following scouting reports for the individual and team games, respectively:
