OMG was it really THIS easy? Honestly, I've been putting off looking at this as I was worried it was going to be a time-sink.

Have you tested this against the new version of HA where this is now the 'go-forward' option?

Yep, it runs on my HA (Core 2025.12.4) instance at the moment.

Just to add, I was seeing this issue and have manually applied this PR change which has fixed it.
These are the HA versions I am running and I was using the latest homeassistant-grott version

I have applied it to my installation using HA Core 2025.12.3 and it fixes the issue
