How to use Convert-LBFO2SET

Requirements

Convert-LBFO2SET has minimal requirements. If you did not download this tool from the PowerShell gallery, you will need to also download the prerequisites manually. Please see the Convert-LBFO2SET powershell manifest for RequiredModules.

Restrictions

While possible, we do not recommend using this tool on a system with a live workload. As the video below shows, you may only see minimal affects of the migration, however under load these affects may be magnified and lead to a (hopefully short) outage.

The recommended migration process is:

  • Live migrate workloads (e.g. virtual machines) off of the system being converted
  • Put the host in maintenance mode
  • Run Convert-LBFO2SET
