Initial public release of the Streaming Competitive Benchmark project.

This version includes the complete analytical pipeline and executive dashboard used for multi-market catalog benchmarking across major streaming providers.

🔹 Methodological Notes

  • vote_count = 0 titles are penalized but not excluded.
  • Weighted rating uses a log-adjusted formulation to reduce the impact of extreme vote counts without introducing arbitrary priors.
  • Relative comparisons across providers are valid within the same dataset context.

🔹 Dataset Considerations

Data is sourced from the TMDB API under its terms of service.

A significant portion of titles may have limited voting activity, affecting absolute rating interpretation. The analysis focuses on structured relative benchmarking.
