Trussgen

Blender script that generates a truss structure with ball joints from a mesh.

Requirements

• Blender 2.80 or newer

Usage

1. Paste the script in the script editor.
2. Select your mesh in object mode.
3. Run the script.

Todo

• Rotation transformation of cylinder along edge to face direction half way in-between the normal direction of the two polygons adjacent to the edge.
• Likewise similar orientation for the ball joints.
• Add a GUI.
• Make the script an installable addon.
