I ran into a bunch of undocumented python module dependencies when setting up scvilp and figured I'd document a slightly easier walk-through for installation.
The installation of Gurobi is in any case a bit of a pain. I have some suggestions for open source solvers in issue #3 .
And finally, if you want a seamless installation experience for users, I recommend creating a full bioconda recipe. Instructions for contributing python packages are here:
