First release of the Cube-1D!

  • Cube is balancing on its corner and responds well to perturbations.
  • The gains are loosely set based on Matlab simulation files but not optimal yet.
  • Only tested with 12V/1.2A supply.
  • Sleep works as expected and balances as before after waking.
  • Controllable region is small but this will better in later releases.
  • Logging set to 100Hz, but can be increased if needed.
  • Acquisition set to 400Hz, IMU refresh set to 416Hz. This can be increased in future.
  • Motor parameters such as kV rating need to be tested for a more true torque control.
  • WIFI not implemented.
  • Servo braking not implemented.
  • Encoder for attitude estimation not implemented.
