Use of the `texorpdfstrong{}{}` macro resolves the triggering of the hyperref "Token not allowed in a PDF string" warning by the use of `\uppercase{}`.

The alternative string only works for PhD though? What about MSc? Maybe add at least a comment that this may need updating?
