My work focuses on automating the machine learning experimentation process so researchers can validate ideas faster. I build AI agents, ML infrastructure, and observability tooling on Google's Ads Machine Learning Platform serving over 200 users and processing 500,000 events per hour. I created the systems that measure experimentation velocity across the platform and partner directly with research teams to improve the developer experience.
Before Google, I built ML pipeline infrastructure at Microsoft and researched deep learning applied to medical imaging, where my work received a top 15% award at an international conference.
I also write AI for Software Engineers, a Substack bestseller reaching 12,000+ developers weekly with recommendations from 40+ AI writers. I maintain mlroadmap.io, a free roadmap from ML fundamentals to production with 1,000+ GitHub stars. More resources to come.
I've been fortunate enough to work on many cool projects:
- Building AI agents to improve the machine learning developer experience at Google.
- Writing a best-selling Substack newsletter about building with AI that reaches 11,000+ developers each week.
- Built machine learning pipeline infrastructure at Microsoft.
- Applied deep learning to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to reduce imaging costs and time.
- Developed a memory-safe method of monitoring the Azure Rack Manager using Rust.
- Worked as a research intern at the Los Alamos National Lab.
