Installing UMARE

Prerequisites

A FIM Synchronization Server running FIM version 4.1.3441.0 or above
Microsoft .NET framework 4.6.1 or above
Windows Installer 4.5

Installation details

Obtain the installer from the releases page
Run the installer on the FIM synchronization server
The installer will place a config file for UMARE in the Extensions folder e.g. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager\2010\Synchronization Service\Extensions\Lithnet.Fim.UniversalMARE.Extension.dll.config
Edit the ConfigFile setting in the file to point to your umarex configuration file
Modify your management agents to use the Lithnet.Fim.UniversalMARE.Extension.dll file
Use the UMARE editor to create your transform file, or download the sample.umarex file
