Our team had to make this WIP/quick fix to leverage the package because we use several custom providers and guards in our application.
Leaving this here as a work in progress, we may push more changes/polish this so it is ready to be a true contribution to the package.
Meanwhile, this may help/guide someone with the same need as us.
