When I first started configuring my system, I was just using a regular dotfiles repo by having my home folder itself as a git repository. Those old configs can be found in my legacy dotfiles repo. Later, I wanted to try something more robust, so I gave Nix and NixOS a try, for the reasons mentioned in my Switching from Arch to NixOS blog post. For that, I created this repo named nix-config and stored my Nix configurations.
After a year of using NixOS, as I explain in my Why I'm Leaving NixOS After a Year? blog post, I decided that it was introducing more problems than it solved for my particular needs. So, I ditched NixOS in favor of regular FHS-compliant Linux distributions, and dropped Home Manager in favor of simpler configuration tools like Stow. I renamed the old nix-config repository back to dotfiles, placed my latest Nix configs under the nix-config directory, and my current Stow-based configs under stow, so that anyone interested in my setup can benefit from or provide feedback on it.
