It's also worth considering that some repositories are essentially complete, with minimal need for ongoing changes. Just because a repository hasn’t been updated recently doesn’t mean it’s unmaintained. |

About
The package aiofiles is apparently not used here, so we consider it safe to remove it from the list of runtime dependencies. If it will be needed again, it can be re-added any time.
Observations
I checked if it would be implicitly optionally being used by whitenoise, for example, but haven't been able to discover it. Relevant adjustments to bring in aiofiles there did not land.
