cross_chk

cross_chk is a GUI toolkit to assess the quality of radio continuum observation data in real time.

how to use it

simply run cross_chk

the GUI

The GUI of the application in a typical Linux environment is showing bellow.

• scan: query the data in the given range of scan numbers; default 0-9999.
• Date: query the data in the given time interval; default the day of the observation.
• FITS: location of the raw FITS file.
• fit: output directory for the result of Gaussian profile fitting and quality assessment.
• DeNoise: the strength of noise filtering.
• Channel: the equation for signal combination from multiple channels
• Observation Mode ON/OFF: whether to communicate with cross_obs to monitor and update the observation status in real time.
• Auto Fitting ON/OFF: whether to perform Gaussian profile fitting to the data automatically or not.
• Option: a dialog to set up initial parameters for fitting
• Next: fit the next scan manually
• EXIT: exit the program
