I am a Colombian Physician 🩺, a Health-Tech Developer 💻, and a graduate student in Health Economics.
My career began in primary care, where I've spent over 10 years working directly with patients. This experience revealed the vast opportunities for improvement within our healthcare systems, especially in optimizing time and reducing the administrative burden. I decided to move from being a frustrated technology user to a solution creator, which is why I learned to code.
Today, I combine my hands-on clinical knowledge with software development and a strategic perspective from health economics to design tools that are clinically relevant, ethical, and sustainable.
-
Building 🚀: My main project is Pingüino Médico 🐧. It's a lightweight web tool I'm developing to automate the creation of clinical summaries, aiming to give valuable time back to healthcare professionals.
-
Learning 🧠: I'm continuously deepening my skills in:
- Python: For process automation and future health data analysis.
- JavaScript, HTML & CSS: For building interactive and accessible user interfaces.
- Generative AI: Exploring its potential and ethical implications in clinical applications.
-
Exploring 🤔: I'm passionate about topics like cognitive biases in medical decision-making, applied tech ethics, and designing more efficient care models, particularly within the Colombian and Latin American context.
I'm convinced that cross-disciplinary collaboration is the key to healthcare innovation. I'm always open to discussing:
- Technology for primary care.
- Open-source projects in Health-Tech.
- The intersection of health, economics, and ethics.
