2/8/2013 - GNURadio:

  • FFT visualization y-axis is in dB, noise floor is around -100dB, everything above this is signal, 3dB = ~2x
  • When sending signal to UHD Sink, make sure amplitude is between -1.0 and 1.0 to prevent saturation
  • Make sure to set bandwidth parameter in UHD Source and low-pass filter the output to remove repeated signal (We expect signal to repeat in frequency space at integer multiples of the sampling frequency)
