imo:

  1. blur/transparency is kinda cool, but also kinda annoying. I could go either way on it
  2. minimize mode is nice, but we'd want to hide the Project Select field and the action button, clicking them leads to a messed up UI. What could be really cool is to just minimize to a Run button, so you can keep it in the corner and keep run it when you need. But that'd require some more work

Yeah. This is tough. Personally, anything that aims to live in permanently on my page while surfing the web is a tough sell. This isn't quite that though...

For this, the usage paradigm is Farseer is always up while you are in a "research-session". A "research-session" is defined by a CONTIGUOUS period of time (maybe 1-3 hours) during which the user is browsing and collecting data from many webpages either on one or many hosts to accomplish a "human in the loop" scrapping task. That looks like setup project -> run -> run -> run -> run -> run -> run -> run -> run -> run -> run -> use result. (correct me if I'm wrong)

I think with that as an assumption, minimization might make more sense. Having the window up for hours would be cumbersome.

I think it would be fair to punt to a fast follow though.
