Wifi_Hotspot_Setup

This is the process to setup a wireless card to access as an access point so that a victim can connect wirelessly, forward the traffic through Mallory, and then let Mallory forward the traffic out to the net.

This setup requires that you have a wireless card that supports packet injection. You can look at the aircrack-ng site for lots of possible options.

This is an overview of the process:

• Configure dhcpd.conf
• Make a fake ap with airbase-ng
• Configure mallory to middle the network traffic

Setup Wireless Card

Create DHCPD Service

• Install DHCPD service

• configured the DHCP server

Run airbase-ng

• Start airbase-ng access point

• configure the IP address for the access point

• grant dhcpd proper permissions in Ubuntu
