This README is completely inaccurate for GitHub organizations. Let's fix that.

Is this still relevant? If so, just comment with any updates and we'll leave it open. Otherwise, if there is no further activity, it will be closed.

Has the issue with organization repos only receiving notifications on the default branch been resolved? If so, then yes this can be closed. If not, then this issue and PR is still relevant.

Year+ later, this is still an issue. I just added the github bot to a new channel and found that this command /github subscribe <name of organization> did nothing for me. I had to use /github subscribe <name of organization> issues pulls commits deployments releases reviews comments branches discussions commits:all to get all the notifications we're looking for.

Note: this has changed slightly from my original PR, I've updated my branch to reflect the latest subscriptions.

The readme and project in general need severely updated.

The README is still highly inaccurate; and even wrongfully claims this project is open source.. its clearly not open source, as the code is not included. With respect, This does not Reflect Well on the GitHub team.

And bugs like the above are still constant issues, and due to the lack of code, we cant contribute fixes, we cant even check and see if the code supports what we need.

For example: How do I subscribe only to failed workflows? I'm sure if I dig deep enough I could find it, but this project should literally just include that by default and it doesn't.

Encountered a fatal error while running "/opt/hostedtoolcache/CodeQL/2.22.0/x64/codeql/codeql database finalize --finalize-dataset --threads=4 --ram=14581 /home/runner/work/_temp/codeql_databases/actions". Exit code was 32 and last log line was: CodeQL did not detect any code written in languages supported by this CodeQL distribution (CSV, Python, XML, GitHub Actions, HTML, Ruby, YAML, Java/Kotlin, Swift, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java Properties Files or C/C++). Confirm that there is some source code for one of these languages in the project.
