This can be assumed on just about any platform. The script does not need Bash features and can benefit from /bin/sh being symlinked to the speedier Dash on platforms such as Debian.
This is certainly faster.
This avoids the need to modify the rsync-check.sh script. If the check is applied to the batches module then it does require .sfs.mounted to be created there too but this is not such a bad idea.

This avoids the need to modify the rsync-check.sh script. If the check is applied to the batches module then it does require .sfs.mounted to be created there too but this is not such a bad idea.
