Welcome to the first official update for CalcpadCE since the community fork!

πŸ“¦ What's New

Windows Installer: We have introduced a standard Windows setup installer (CalcpadCE-setup-7.6.3.exe) to make installing the software and managing shortcuts much easier. The previous 7.6.2 release was only available as a standalone portable executable.

⚠️ Note for Current Users

You do not need to update if you are already using version 7.6.2. There are no new features, core language changes, or bug fixes in the application itself. This release is purely focused on providing a better installation experience.

πŸ›‘οΈ Installation Note (Windows SmartScreen)

Because CalcpadCE is a new, community-driven project, Windows SmartScreen may flag the installer as an unrecognized app. This is normal for new open-source software. To proceed, simply click "More info" and then "Run anyway".

The documentation is online available, now.

Here are the most recent portable and .zip releases of CalcpadVM version 7.6.2 that used to live on the public repo.

I am not sure how to build the installer or debian versions, so if anyone has those files, please let me know.

I will release a mostly stable vs code version in the upcoming days for Linux users.

VS Code Version 0.1.4 Pre-release
Pre-release

This is not the most current build for vs code, but it is relatively stable vs the last one I made public in the other repo. I am still testing the current build it needs some work before I release it.

Note that this is an experimental pre-release, so it will not have the full feature set of the Wpf version. If you need stability, I recommend staying on Ned's version for now.

Another thing to note is this is the last version of vs code that will use Ned's Calcpad.Core. I am adding features that will show up in new versions of vs code, so future releases will deviate from his last version.

See https://github.com/imartincei/vscode-calcpad for more info on this project. I plan to migrate this to this repo eventually, but the information on how to install and the basics of how to use this is over there. That info might be a bit dated, but I will get this more polished after I am ready for the full release or vscode-calcpad.
