Looks good! Includes a couple other improvements in addition to the UTF-8 encoding fixes.
- removes Forkr usage which is a legacy way of doing multi-pod work that has since been replaced by usage of K8s
- adds wait_for_confirms to make sure debug information is logged and appears in Graylog
