Copyright ESIEE (2009) m.couprie@esiee.fr This software is an image processing library whose purpose is to be used primarily for research and teaching. This software is governed by the CeCILL license under French law and abiding by the rules of distribution of free software. You can use, modify and/ or redistribute the software under the terms of the CeCILL license as circulated by CEA, CNRS and INRIA at the following URL "http://www.cecill.info". As a counterpart to the access to the source code and rights to copy, modify and redistribute granted by the license, users are provided only with a limited warranty and the software's author, the holder of the economic rights, and the successive licensors have only limited liability. In this respect, the user's attention is drawn to the risks associated with loading, using, modifying and/or developing or reproducing the software by the user in light of its specific status of free software, that may mean that it is complicated to manipulate, and that also therefore means that it is reserved for developers and experienced professionals having in-depth computer knowledge. Users are therefore encouraged to load and test the software's suitability as regards their requirements in conditions enabling the security of their systems and/or data to be ensured and, more generally, to use and operate it in the same conditions as regards security. The fact that you are presently reading this means that you have had knowledge of the CeCILL license and that you accept its terms. ================================================================= Installation *************************************** Method 1 (with cmake) ------------------------ Create a directory anywhere, but preferably outside of the main Pink directory. Let's call this new directory ${BUILD} (only an example) and ${PINK} the main Pink directory. Then do the following: cd ${BUILD} cmake ${PINK} make this should work with default settings. If you want to peek at the settings, the procedure is cd ${BUILD} ccmake ${PINK} then there is an interactive configuration screen. Type 'c' to configure the defaults ; 'c' again (that's the way it is), and then 'g' to generate the makefiles. For the batch interface (default), the variable 'BASH_FRONT_END' should be 'ON'. For the python interface, the variable 'PYTHON_FRONT_END' and the variable 'LIAR' should be both 'ON'. IMPORTANT: do not select both bash and python interfaces at once, even if you want to install both. In this case, perform the installation twice. then type make The executables to be called from the bash (or csh, tcsh...) interface are located in directory '${BUILD}/bash'. For launching the python interface, use the script '${BUILD}/pink.sh'. Method 2 (without cmake) ------------------------ Linux To install: tar zxvf pink.tgz mv Pinktmp <main_pink_directory> cd <main_pink_directory> ./makelin Executable files are in '<main_pink_directory>/linux/bin', scripts are in '<main_pink_directory>/scripts' and in '<main_pink_directory>/tcl' Update your $path variable accordingly. For example (csh): setenv PINK <main_pink_directory> set path=( $path $PINK/linux/bin $PINK/scripts $PINK/tcl ) or (bash): export PINK=<main_pink_directory> export PATH=$PATH:$PINK/linux/bin:$PINK/scripts:$PINK/tcl Windows First, install MinGW (Minimalist GNU For Windows), and 'make' from the MinGW distribution (separate installation). Uncompress the archive 'pink.tgz' (e.g. with WinZip or WinRar). Depending on your configuration, update files 'mgw.make' and 'makemgw.bat'. Launch a DOS terminal and go to the main pink directory. then type: makemgw Executable files are in '<main_pink_directory>\bin', Update your PATH variable accordingly. For example: \verbatim set PATH=<main_pink_directory>\bin;%PATH% \endverbatim The following software should also be installed: Doxygen ActiveTcl 8.3 VTK ImView MPlayer Gnuplot ******************************************************* CREATOR: Michel Couprie MAIN CONTRIBUTORS: Michel Couprie, Hugues Talbot, Laurent Najman, Jean Cousty, Lazlo Marak OTHER CONTRIBUTORS: Cédric Allène, John Chaussard, Nicolas Combaret, Camille Couprie, Sébastien Couprie, Xavier Daragon, Christophe Doublier, Silvio Jamil Guimaraes, Gu Jun, Hildegard Koehler, Laurent Mercier, Benjamin Raynal, Mohamed Amine Salem, André Vital Saude, Rita Zrour CODE UNDER FREE LICENCE INCLUDED: Dario Bressanini: mcpowell.c Lilian Buzer: lbdigitalline.cxx David Coeurjolly: lvoronoilabelling.c Andrew W.
