pom.xmlThis is a major version upgrade to Apache Flink 2.x, which introduces significant and extensive breaking changes. Applications require substantial migration effort. State compatibility from Flink 1.x is not guaranteed, and several core APIs have been removed.
Highlights:
DataSetAPI, Scala APIs, and legacySourceFunction/SinkFunctionhave been completely removed. Code must be migrated to theDataStreamAPI and the unified Source/Sink V2 APIs.Source: Apache Flink documentation
Recommendation: A full application migration is required. Do not merge without updating the application code to be compatible with the Flink 2.x APIs, validating state migration paths, and upgrading the Java runtime environment.
