As far as I can tell, it is not actually used in https://github.com/googleapis/managedkafka/blob/main/kafka-auth-local-server/kafka_gcp_credentials_server.py

requirements.txtfor kafka-auth-local-server.This is to ensure that we use google-auth 2.40.3 or later which is required for GKE WIF support.
