This pull request should be merged into a separate branch called tychoWIP_e44.

This branch contains modifications to use Tycho as the build system, fixes for failing tests and a few feature patches. Eclipse target version >= 4.4.

For Eclipse versions < 4.5 a feature patch needs to be applied to the Eclipse installation (see fredg02/windowtester#2 (comment)).

Hi @keertip , is there any chance this PR can be merged? I don't know how to handle the old commits that contain contributions from other people (some even from Google employees). Let me know if can help to get this moving.
