Qt4Reactor seems to work fine using Python 3.5.2, Twisted 16.0.0 and PyQt4
4.11.4.
Python 2.7.12, Twisted 16.0.0 and PySide 1.2.2 is working too.

Successfully tested with a simple GUI application using twisted using the
following combinations on a 64 Bit Ubuntu 16.04 system:

Python 2.7.12 + PySide 1.2.2
Python 2.7.12 + PyQt4 4.11.4
Python 2.7.12 + PyQt5 5.5.1

Python 3.5.2 + PySide2 5.9.4
Python 3.5.2 + PyQt4 4.11.4
Python 3.5.2 + PyQt5 5.5.1
