To assign a unique theme to a specific project, follow these simple steps:
-
Open Your Project in VSCode: Start by opening the folder that contains the project you want to customize. This will be your workspace.
-
Access Workspace Settings: You can open the settings editor by pressing Ctrl+, or by navigating to File > Preferences > Settings.
-
Switch to Workspace Settings: In the settings editor, you will see two tabs: "User" and "Workspace". Click on the "Workspace" tab to configure settings that will only apply to the current project.
-
Create a settings.json File: If you haven't configured workspace settings for this project before, VSCode will prompt you to create a settings.json file. This file will be located in a .vscode folder within your project's root directory.
-
Set the Color Theme: In the search bar of the settings editor, type "color theme". This will bring up the Workbench: Color Theme setting. From the dropdown menu, select the theme you want to apply to this specific workspace.
Happy Themes are free for everyone to use. Enjoy! Be happy!
