Finulio

Independent fintech research, market monitoring, and transparency tooling

Finulio — Organization Overview

Finulio builds a transparency-first market observability layer for consumer finance: comparable data, clear methodology, and a corrections-first approach.

We operate with a strict separation between:

  • Public Layer (B2C) — independent, user-first comparisons and explainers
  • Data Layer (B2B/B2G) — validated datasets, change monitoring, and research-grade signals

We do not provide legal, tax, or regulated compliance advice. We provide research-grade signals and evidence-based readiness reviews (non-certification). We do not issue financial products and we do not provide financial advice. Our role is research, monitoring, and transparency tooling. Publisher-only: no applications, no lead forwarding, no personal data sharing with providers for underwriting/eligibility/suitability decisions, and no soft-check orchestration (or equivalent pre-qualification flows).

What we do (high level)

B2C (Public)

  • Comparisons, provider profiles, and educational content
  • Transparent disclosures, “last reviewed” freshness, and representative examples
  • Corrections-first workflow

B2B / B2G (Partner & Research)

  • Market monitoring (change detection, anomalies, snapshots over time)
  • Data quality contracts (schemas) and integration points (APIs, alerts, reporting — monitoring only, not origination or application routing)
  • Built to reduce risk and improve transparency — without compromising public independence

Partner engagements (selective)

For partners and institutions, we may provide reviews and implementation support aligned with our transparency standards:

  • Security & privacy readiness reviews (high-level / evidence-driven)
  • Technical due diligence and data quality assessment (schemas, validation, provenance)
  • Usability and ethical behavioral design reviews (clarity, disclosure, friction, dark-pattern avoidance)
  • Build support and technical implementation for transparency/monitoring tooling

Partner work does not influence public rankings, methodology, or editorial decisions.

Sustainability (Efficiency-first, measurable)

We treat sustainability as operational efficiency + transparency, not marketing.

What we optimize

  • Static-first delivery & caching to minimize origin compute and reduce repeated work.
  • Lean payloads (JS budgets, image optimization, fewer round-trips) to reduce data transfer.
  • Efficient monitoring: incremental diffs over full reprocessing, deduplication, backoff/rate limits, and event-driven pipelines.
  • Data minimization & retention discipline: store only what’s needed for provenance and research value; keep logs lean and time-bounded.

How we measure

  • We track cloud footprint where provider-grade reporting is available (e.g., Google Cloud Carbon Footprint for the parts that run on GCP).
  • We keep periodic “footprint snapshots” (internal by default; shareable in summary form for partners upon request).

What we don’t claim

  • We do not claim “carbon neutral” or certification-like outcomes without independent verification.
  • Any footprint reporting has clear boundaries: what is included (cloud services we operate) vs. excluded (end-user devices, third-party services outside our control).

Public repositories

  • finulio-public — public assets and well-known endpoints (brand/press, .well-known/*)
  • finulio-dev — developer portal & monitoring API documentation (finulio.dev)
  • finulio-schemas — versioned data contracts (JSON Schemas)

Additional internal repositories exist for product development and data pipelines and are kept private by design.

Trust, corrections & security

  • Corrections-first: if something is wrong or outdated, we prefer fast, transparent fixes over silence.
  • Methodology & data sources: documented publicly, including limitations and update frequency.
  • Publisher-only operations: no application handling and no user data forwarding.
  • Responsible automation: our crawlers and monitors follow the Responsible Crawling Policy (finulio/.github/policies/RESPONSIBLE_CRAWLING.md).
  • Security reporting: vulnerability reporting details are published in security.txt.

Legal

  • Finulio is operated by SIA FINULIO (Latvia), Registration No. 52403047441.
