Works for me; should work for you

Host Stringer on a cheap DigitalOcean 5$ box and add some goodies like gitolite, jekyll and a http reverse proxy fully managed with Vagrant and Ansible
Manage arbitrary development boxes and have a constant homebase
- Follow the installation steps
# Go whereever you want to store your binarysolo config directory
cd
binarysolo init my_binarysolo
cd my_binarysolo
- Read the configuration help
- configure your setup
- generate a (password protected) ssh keypair to be stored in ./ssh
ssh-keygen -t rsa -f ssh/earl_rsa -C "your_email@example.com"- Start ssh agent and load the key
ssh-agent ; ssh-add ssh/earl_rsa - If you changed ssh keys and you already have a key named binary_solo_homebase registered with Digital Ocean => delete it
# Commit your setup
git add --all .
git commit -m 'initial setup'
# be patient - provisioning the box takes some time
/usr/local/somewhere/bin/binarysolo homebase ensure
# apply the configured dns records to the digital ocean nameserver
/usr/local/somewhere/bin/binarysolo dns update
# SSL TBA
Done! Log into your box using: vagrant ssh and read about the other components
vagrant destroy
but this won't remove any dns records and all data on your homebase will be gone! better check the digital ocean webui (or api) that your droplet is really gone.
- Digital Ocean might assign the same ip address to a droplet again when you play around causing
vagrant sshto fail. Check your~/.ssh/known_hostsfor an old entry
