How does Yap work?
Yap lets you record your screen, camera, or both simultaneously. Your recordings are automatically organized in a library with metadata, and you can generate AI-powered transcriptions and summaries to help you find and understand your content.
What AI services does Yap use?
Yap uses OpenAI Whisper for transcription and Google Gemini for generating video summaries. You'll need to provide your own API keys for these services.
What data does Yap collect?
Yap stores your video files locally and only sends data to AI services when you explicitly request transcription or summary generation. Your videos and personal data stay on your machine.
Can I import existing videos?
Yes, you can import existing video files into your Vlogger library. The app will automatically generate thumbnails and metadata for imported videos.
