This capstone project explores 4.2M rows data of hipotetical rides-share called Cyclistict (Jan–Dec 2024) to:

• Uncover casual vs. member behavior
• Analyze seasonal and hourly usage patterns
• Estimate ride-level revenue by user and bike type
• Recommend marketing and operational tactics

Repo Contents

• data/: Sample CSV

  • Description: Sample size of Divvy public ride dataset from January - December 2024.
  • Full Dataset: Full unclean dataset could be access via Divvy Dataset under their license.

• scripts/: R Markdown files

  • Main script: scripts/analysis.Rmd
    • How to run:
      1. Open scripts/Cyclistic User Behavior Report_GitHub.Rmd in RStudio.
      2. Click “Knit” to generate the report.
      3. Output will appear in reports/ as an HTML or PDF file.
  • Required R packages:
    List any R packages needed (e.g., tidyverse, skimr, janitor, scales, patchwork).

• reports/: Knit HTML report

  • Location: reports/Cyclistic-User-Behavior-Report_GitHub.html (or reports/Cyclistic-User-Behavior-Report_GitHub.pdf)
  • How to view:
    • Open the HTML report in your browser for interactive results.
    • Download/view the PDF for a print-friendly version.
