I've noticed a problem in the realm of quality assurance. There isn't a single web application that meets the basic needs of tracking quality assurance that is free. Out of the few free applications I did find, they were either bug or code oriented, not Quality Assurance oriented, and lacked a few basic features I'd expect to see.
Cello is being developed to solve this problem. It will be a free web application with a sole purpose of tracking Quality Assurance. I imagine small development groups, or groups that are approaching quality assurance for the first time, will benefit the most from using this application. So what are the basics that Cello will deliver?
- Project organization
- Test Suites under Projects
- Test Cases organized into Test Suites
- Expected and actual result checklist for test cases
- Attachment uploads
- Conversation support within test cases
- Multi-run capabilities
That's all I have for now. Come back in a couple of days for more updates on the development of this application.
