This repository can be referenced to create depth profiles of major seawater constituent concentrations near Bermuda, Venezuela, and the West Antarctic Peninsula. To use the code in it's entirety, please clone the entire repository and cite all the contributors (citations below). The notebook file has guiding comments to support use.
The following concentration profiles were created: nitrate, phosphate, sulfate, oxygen, and dissolved iron; for the following locations: Bermuda (Bermuda Atlantic Time Series, BATS, location), Venezuela (near the CArbon Retention In A Colored Ocean, CARIACO, study location), and the West Antarctic Peninsula (near Southern Ocean Carbon and Climate Observations and Modeling, SOCCOM, float locations).
Data Locations Bermuda Nitrate: BATS Phosphate: BATS Sulfate: BATS, derived from salinity Oxygen: BATS Dissolved Iron: GEOTRACES Venezuela Nitrate: CARIACO Phosphate: CARIACO Sulfate: CARIACO, derived from salinity Oxygen: CARIACO (used two time series to validate a seemingly incorrect result) Dissolved Iron: CARIACO (this seemed off as well, but did not have a second set of data to validate) West Antarctic Peninsula Nitrate: generated from SOCCOM website Sulfate: SOCCOM (downloaded data and imported to JupyterHub for sulfate determination) Oxygen: generated from SOCCOM website Dissolved Iron: Arrigo et al., 2017
