Analysis Module for Transverse Single-Spin Asymmetry

This module use three packages.

  1. ROOT
  2. scikit-learn
  3. RooUnfold

Instruction for installing these packages can be found in the given links.

Data Creation

Monte-Carlo data was created using the SimChainDev module and run.sh script was used to create asymmetry added data with simple tree structure. By default it assume that names of the jpsi and drell-yan event files as jpsi_data.root and drell_yan_data.root respectively. Here drell-yan events were considered as background data.

Analysis

analysis.ipynb notebook was used to analyze data.

Debugging

debug.ipynb notebook was used for debuging the main module.

  • Use jsroot for interactive plots.
  • Note that ROOT was build using python2 in gpvm machine. Therefore, jupyterlab and scikit-learn will not work in a gpvm machine.
