FLARM Terminal can be used to monitor and control a FLARM device via the standard RS232 interface. Just hook up your FLARM to a Windows PC using a FLARM programming cable (RJ12 <-> 9 pins RS232) and fire up this tool.

You can easily make this cable yourself, or buy one from your local gliding equipment dealer.
Once connected, use the Command menu to request information or change some of the settings of your device. The command set is based on the documentation provided by FLARM.
Supported sentences and commands:
- PFLAC - Read Device Configuration / Properties / Capabilities
- PFLAU - Heartbeat, status and basic alarms
- PFLAA – Data on other proximate aircraft
- PFLAE – Self-test result and errors codes
- PFLAV – Version information
- PFLAR – Reset
- PFLAS – Debugging information
- GPRMC – NMEA minimum recommended GPS navigation data
- GPGGA – NMEA GPS 3D-fix data
- GPGSA – NMEA active satellites and DOP
For PowerFlarm devices only:
- PFLAN – Continuous Analyzer of Radio Performance (CARP).
- PFLAI – IGC files readout to SD or USB drive
- PFLAF – Simulated traffic and alarms
