📄 Overview

This repository contains the R code used in the study "Unstructured Spare Time as an International Predictor of Adolescent Crime".
The analysis is based on data from the International Self-Report Delinquency Study (ISRD4).

  • ISRD_time_script_clean.R – Main analysis script
  • ISRD_time.Rproj – RStudio project file
  • /data – Folder for ISRD4 raw data (not included in this repository)
  • /plots – Output folder for plots and tables
  • /documents – Supporting documentation

▶️ How to Run the Code

  1. Open the project using ISRD_time.Rproj in RStudio.
  2. Place the ISRD4 raw dataset in the /data directory.
  3. Run the script ISRD_time_script_clean.R from within the R project environment.

📊 Data Availability

The raw data used in this study are part of the International Self-Report Delinquency Study 4 (ISRD4). Replication data for the analyses reported in this article are available via Zenodo (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.19596718) with access provided upon request. In accordance with ISRD4 policy and the terms agreed with study participants and ethical committees across participating countries, the full ISRD4 dataset remains under embargo and will be made openly available without restriction at the end of 2026 or beginning of 2027.
