writing the results to the hard-drive has been made optional because for some reason the setwd() function with FEAST function is not working in my environment (R studio in Mac).
This is a critical change, because unknown_initialize_1 has an incorrect line that would make the created unknown_source shorter than it should be and crashing later steps.
