YANG Data Structure Extension

Is there a reason for using the rc:yang-data of RESTCONF [RFC 8040] YANG ietf-restconf module? I think usage of sx:structure statement of YANG Data Structure Extension [RFC 8791] (from YANG ietf-yang-structure-ext module) would be beneficial for future extensibility of the draft.

On the other hand the legacy rc:yang-data is the same construct used by RESTCONF.

The CoMI draft was first published in 2017, 3 years before RFC 8791.
Usage of rc:yang-data is now considered deprecated, and sx:structure is used instead.
No objections to this change since YANG doctors will flag this issue anyway.
