A set of functions for use in solving the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation. \[ u_{t} = (1 + i\alpha)u_{\mathbf{xx}} + f_{\beta}(u), \] where \(f_{\beta}(u)\) is a nonlinear function of the \(x\)-space-local value of \(u\).
