Okay, that test failure seems to happen on master as well. Seems to be related to cldfcatalog somehow.

AttributeError: <module 'cldfcatalog.config' from '/home/johannes/repos/cldf/cldfbench/ENV/lib/python3.8/site-packages/cldfcatalog/config.py'> does not have the attribute 'appdirs'

Okay, found the problem. This should be good now.

btw, this bug only surfaces when someone creates a new venv with the current version of pycldf and the current version of cldfbench; and no dependency happens to pull in pybtex. I.e. the conditions are weirdly specific but annoyingly likely at the same time. Maybe it'd be worth it to make a bugfix release and close this window of opportunity for breakage.
