What does this PR do?
This PR contains the beginnings of work that is seemingly necessary for running this application locally, as it has fallen behind the current version of Clay and needs further investigation to debug and bring it up to date. Alternatively, it can probably be made to run by updating dependencies in package.json to not optimistically run ^ minor version updates, because it seems that at least one of the NPM dependencies may have actually introduced breaking changes
