A child theme starter for WordPress Storefront theme
This is a boiler plate for a custom child theme. Child themes in WordPress enable you to override theme templates and stylesheets with your own customizations in a safe way.
This starter kit uses our the theme base Storefront by AUTOMATTIC® as the parent theme. Feel free to use it for your own projects, or hack it and create your own child theme starter kit.
Make sure you have all these dependences installed before moving on:
- PHP
- WordPress
- WooCommerce
- StoreFront Theme
- Install the parent theme
- Upload the storefront-child folder to your wp-content/themes directory
- Go into your WP admin backend
- Go to "Appearance -> Themes"
- Activate the Storefront Child theme
