-fixing up unit tests which no longer compiled under Java 8 by forcing the types to be declared where they may have been ambiguous before -hacked in the missing methods on LateTypeVariable. They simply throw UnsupportedOperationException, but at least that seems to get me going for now. Proper implementations will likely be needed in the future though.
