Scope

• Service API(s) “DeviceReachabilityStatus” (see APIBacklog.md)
• The API(s) provide(s) the API consumer with the ability to:
  • check if a device is reachable or is not connected to the network
  • receive notifications if the connectivity status of the device changes
• Describe, develop, document, and test the API(s)
• Started: July 2022 (within DeviceStatus repository)
• Incubating stage since: February 2025 (via DeviceStatus)

There are no compatibility guarantees associated with code in any branch, including main, until a new release is created. For example, changes may be reverted before a release is created. For best results, use the latest available release.
